Royal Caribbean Packages You Need
November 26, 2023Overbooked On Royal Carribean
November 29, 2023Fellow cruises, us Aussies might have to say sorry here, while I was cruising on Quantum On the 10th – I was talking to the staff about some recent changes with Royal, one of those being that they removed the option for drink packages on 3-day cruises.
Royal Caribbean takes away Drink Packages from short cruises
We must add this is only from what I’ve been told and is unconfirmed by Royal Caribbean at this stage as their own website still states
Those of you who are taking a short cruise or a sampler or tester as they are also known as a cruise that is typically 3 days longs) unfortunately, you can no longer reserve the Deluxe Drinks Package or possibly any other drinks package for these cruises now. While on Quantum Of The Seas recently (10th Nov South Pacific) I was chatting to Royal staff, who laughed and explained that we were the problem meaning we Australians went too hard on the shorter cruises, he laughed saying we could have sent the company broke. So as of now, this package is no longer an option for these short cruises. It used to be you could only purchase this package once on board but now this isn’t even the case.
While we understand this, we think this might also be a missed opportunity as this lets passengers get a taste of what Royal is about, one of the big things that people rave about Royal Caribbean for is the Deluxe Drink Package, which offers something truly unique against all other cruise lines. A truly unlimited alcohol package that also includes everything from bottled water to straight shots of spirits 24/7 with no limits (Other than sharing)
What is the Deluxe Drink Package?
We’ve got an in-depth guide and review we suggest you check on Here however I’m going to give it a brief and quick run down. One of, if not the most known package at Royal Caribbean is the “Deluxe Beverage Package” or the Deluxe Drink Package, which offers everything from bottles of water to shots, it includes all cocktails, just about every drink you could think of, wines, beers, mixers, soft drink, juices, coffees (Not including Starbucks stand drinks) and it’s unlimited (kind of). Unlike other cruise lines which claim to have similar options, there will often be a cut-off of 12 -15 drinks per 24 hours, while this isn’t horrible however, when you factor in coffees, soft drinks, and bottles of water this goes fast. Royal is unlimited you can order as many as you like per day there is no limit there at all.
The only limit is that it’s restricted to 14$ USD per drink (It includes all cocktails) So this will get you just about every drink on the cruise ship other than very high-end wines and top-shelf spirits. Although the very high-end drinks aren’t covered, you will get a 14$ USD discount and just have to pay the difference, you’ll also get great discounts on bottles of wine too – so it is absolutely worth checking out.
